TB-500
TB-500 is a synthetic research peptide corresponding to the active region of Thymosin Beta-4 (Tβ4), a 43-amino acid actin-binding protein broadly expressed in mammalian tissues. In laboratory and preclinical research, TB-500 is investigated for its role in cytoskeletal organization and cellular migration through regulation of the β-actin/G-actin equilibrium. Because actin dynamics are central to cell structure and motility, TB-500 is utilized in experimental systems examining peptide-mediated modulation of tissue remodeling and structural cellular processes under controlled conditions.
In vitro systems and structured experimental investigations evaluate endpoints including actin polymerization markers, cell migration assays, angiogenesis-associated signaling pathways (including VEGF-related mechanisms), extracellular matrix remodeling indicators, and inflammatory cytokine profiles relative to controls. Additional research explores transcriptional responses linked to cytoskeletal stability, growth factor-associated signaling cascades, oxidative stress biomarkers, and cellular survival pathways.
